Make no mistake, this is exactly what you want in a grind and brew coffee maker. The ONLY problem I've had is in finding the appropriate filters in my home town.
Using coffee that was recently ground is a major factor in great coffee. I would recommend this machine. You don't need to wash with soap or dry by hand, etc. We make one pot in the morning, shut it off, rinse off parts and leave to air dry overnight. The one we have now doesn't grind anymore, but we just fresh-grind at the store and it still makes great coffee. This machine is the only coffee maker we have used in the last 10 years and we are on our 2nd machine. I think some of the reviewer's make too big of a deal about the cleaning. We have even brewed many pots right after we rinsed the parts with little drying.
Took it back, too much cleaning. Made a good cup of Joe 1st time and the parts are easy to take out and clean. 3 parts to clean, Fllter basket, pot and grinder. Steam from hot coffee enters grinder (you need to rinse right away). I got mine for $40.00 at Macys.
Theres nothing better than grinding and brewing fresh beans. I am very pleased with this coffee system it makes a great cup of coffee and a hot cup of coffee. I would highly recommed this coffee grind and breww Cusinart system
He is really enjoying it - and really wanted a coffe maker with built-in grinder. Gave this as a Christmas present for my brother. Grinder is a little messy but worth it for a fresh cup of java.
